All data shared when entering the Humber Renewables Awards 2024 will be used for administration ONLY. The judging panel will have access to the details submitted in the entry form. Shortlisted finalists will have a brief biography created for the awards website, derived from the content of their submitted entry form. Therefore, if your entry contains confidential information that you do want to be shared please email humberevents@icloud.com with the details immediately.

Humber Renewables Awards and its affiliated members will not use your data for any marketing purposes beyond the scope of these awards without your explicit consent.

All details will be deleted one year from the event date; 3 May 2025.

We take data protection seriously, and assure you that your information will only be disclosed to third parties with your consent or processed in compliance with our Privacy Notice. Please see our privacy notice for details as to how we process your personal data.

Terms and conditions

The awards are free to enter. By submitting this form, you affirm that all information in the application is accurate to the best of your knowledge, and you assert that no relevant details have been omitted.

Entries can only be accepted from businesses whose base, or a substantial proportion of business, is based within the area of Hull and East Yorkshire.

Companies and organisations are welcome to submit entries in multiple categories, as long as they meet the specific criteria for each application. It is essential to create separate and tailored applications for each award category.

Entries must be received no later than the deadline shown - www.humber-renewables.com. We cannot accept responsibility for entries lost or delayed during transmission.

Third parties can make applications on behalf of businesses, providing the business nominated is aware of the entry and has approved the content in the application form.

Additional criteria may be applicable to certain award categories; see each award for specific details. Entrants will need to make available whatever additional relevant information is required by the judges to assist them in reaching a decision.

All participants must disclose whether they, or the business they represent, are currently involved in or could potentially become embroiled in any dispute or legal judgment that might significantly impede the proper conduct or tarnish the reputation of the award organizers.

Sponsors are not permitted to enter the category which they are sponsoring.

Following the closing date, the judging panel will complete a shortlist of finalists for each category, determining the overall winner in each category.

The judges reserve the right to merge or split categories if the level of entrants warrants this.

By participating, you agree to comply with the competition's terms and conditions and accept the judges' decisions on all matters pertaining to the awards.

Your nomination may be considered in an alternate category.

The event organisers reserve the right to adjust judging deadlines if circumstances require.

The judges’ decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into before or after judging. Please note that the Chair of the Judging Panel reserves the right to overrule the judges’ decision, should it be deemed necessary.

All details provided by entrants will be strictly confidential. After the closing date our judging panel will complete a shortlist of finalists for each category. The shortlisted candidates will be invited to the event.

Humber Renewables Awards reserves the right to publicise the results (including the names of any winners or nominees) of the Awards Event and use winning entries in press releases and published case histories. Consequently, it is a condition of entry that Awards Events participants will cooperate with the media in relation to any such publication or Awards Events marketing material.

Awards winners may refer to the Awards Event in their own publicity material, following prior approval by Humber Renewables Awards. We may provide instructions as to how Awards winners may display any Awards Events marks or marketing material, which the winners and entrants agree to comply with. Humber Renewables Awards will not approve any publicity material which is offensive, obscene, derogatory in nature or defamatory to any third party.

Awards are non-transferable.

Humber Renewables Awards reserves the right to modify or revise these Terms at any time to comply with legal requirements or address evolving business needs, without providing prior notice to you. Any updates or changes will be made publicly available on the relevant Event's website.

Under no circumstances shall Humber Renewables Awards be liable to you or the organisation you represent for any of the following, whether in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise: any indirect or consequential losses, loss of revenue or anticipated revenue, loss of savings or anticipated savings, loss of business opportunity, or loss of profits or anticipated profits. Nothing in these Terms shall exclude or restrict Humber Renewables Awards liability for death or personal injury resulting from the negligence of Humber Renewables Awards.

Ticket sales

These terms and conditions (“ Terms ”) apply to Events which are delivered by Humber Marine and Renewables t/a Humber Renewables Awards which is a private limited company incorporated and registered in England with its registered office located at Ergo, Bridgehead Business Park, Boothferry Road, Hessle, East Yorkshire, England, HU13 0PS ( “we”, “us”, “our” ). An “ Event ” refers to the awards ceremony. References to “ you ” or “ your ” shall mean the individual or business entering or registering for an Event and references to “ we ”, “ us ” or “ our ” shall mean Humber Marine and Renewables t/a Humber Renewables Awards.

Event administration

1. In order to purchase a ticket for an Event, you must: be at least 18 years old and able to enter into legally binding contracts; and you must fill out the corresponding online booking form.

2. By purchasing a ticket for an Event ( “Ticket(s)” ), you agree to these Terms and verify the accuracy of all details provided to us to the best of your knowledge.

3. If you are procuring a Ticket on behalf of a company or another legal entity, you affirm that you have the authority to bind that company or legal entity, and these Terms, along with references to "you," are applicable to that entity.

4. The purchase of a Ticket from us constitutes a legally binding contract, subject to: (i) these Terms; (ii) any other terms and conditions of the Event and/or Event partner(s); and (iii) any venue terms and conditions, including entry requirements.

5. By acquiring one or more Tickets from us, you acknowledge that you have read, comprehended, and agreed to abide by these Terms. If you disagree with these Terms or any other applicable conditions, or if you are unable to comply with any of them, refrain from purchasing a Ticket.

6. Visa and MasterCard debit or credit cards are the approved methods of payment

Delivery

7. Tickets will be delivered online by sending you an email.

8. If your Ticket email has not arrived by 5 days prior to the event, or if you receive a notification of a failed delivery at any time, you should contact us by emailing humberevents@icloud.com stating your name and email address that the order is made under.

9. Tickets will only be dispatched to the email address you supply. It is your responsibility to supply a valid email address for the electronic delivery of Tickets and to ensure that you can receive the Tickets via email.

10. We will not be held responsible, and you will not be eligible for a refund, in cases where delivery is declined, returned, overlooked, unclaimed, or unsuccessful due to your failure to provide accurate and complete delivery information and/or ensure your availability to receive the Tickets (via email, where applicable).

11. It is your responsibility to check your Tickets email immediately once they have been delivered as mistakes cannot always be rectified. You should contact us via email immediately if there is a mistake or error with your Tickets or if you do not receive your Tickets as ordered. We may not be able to assist you if you do not inform us of any errors that are reasonably obvious from inspection of your Tickets within 5 days of receipt (and/or in good time prior to the event date).

Your data

12. Any personal data you provide while booking a ticket for an Event will be used for Event administration purposes only. All shared personal data will be treated with confidentiality and kept private.

13. We will not use the personal data you provide to us for any marketing purposes unless you give us consent to do so. Furthermore we will not share your personal data with any third parties for their marketing purposes unless you give us consent to do so.

Cancellation

15. No refunds will be granted by Humber Renewables under the following circumstances: (a) if you purchase a Ticket for an Event but are unable or unwilling to attend; (b) in case of loss, theft, damage, or destruction of your Ticket after receipt or collection; or (c) if you attend the Event but are denied entry or asked to leave due to non-compliance with the Event's or venue's restrictions and rules.

16. Humber Marine and Renewables t/a Humber Renewables Awards holds the right to withdraw or cancel any Event at any time. If the Event is canceled or withdrawn for any reason, Humber Renewables Awards will notify you as soon as possible. However, there is no guaranteed notification before the event date. It is your responsibility to confirm whether the Event has been canceled, rescheduled, or altered and the details of any rescheduled Event. In cases where the Event can be rescheduled, Humber Renewables Awards will propose an alternative date. If the Event cannot be rescheduled or if you are unable to attend the proposed alternative date within 7 days of Humber Renewables Awards’ proposal, a full refund of the Ticket price will be provided. Humber Renewables Awards will not be considered in violation of these Terms due to Event cancellation or abandonment.

Limitation of Liability

17. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we (including affiliates, subsidiaries, officers, directors, employees, agents, legal representatives, and subcontractors) are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including data, profits, revenue, earnings, goodwill, reputation, or any exemplary, special, or punitive damages arising directly or indirectly from your use of Tickets. Notably: (a) personal arrangements and expenses incurred by you for an event, including travel, accommodation, and hospitality, are at your own risk; (b) we are not liable for loss of enjoyment or amenity due to event changes; and (c) we are not responsible if admission is denied due to your breach of Event or venue restrictions.

18. Unless specified otherwise, our liability for an Event (including cancellation, rescheduling, or alteration) is limited to the price paid for the Ticket(s).

19. We are not accountable for venue or Event partner actions or failures. We are not liable for death or personal injury unless caused by negligence, nor for loss or damage to property or belongings.

20. We are not liable for failure to fulfill obligations under these Terms due to a force majeure event, such as acts of God, war, pandemic, or government regulations beyond our control. This clause does not affect refund terms.

21. These Terms do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or other liabilities exempted by law.

General

22. Humber Renewables Awards reserves the right to refuse a booking, or to cancel a booking with a full refund.

23. The menu is predetermined, with special dietary needs catered for by prior arrangement. Allergies must be communicated in advance of the evening.

24. Humber Renewables Awards’ organisers reserves the right to ask individuals to leave an event due to inappropriate behaviour.

25. Humber Renewables Awards can modify or update these Terms at any time to comply with the law or adapt to changing business needs without notifying you. Any changes will be posted on the relevant Event's website

26.These Terms, and actions taken under them by you or us, do not create a partnership, joint venture, or establish a principal-agent relationship.

27. No third party shall have any rights to enforce any of these Terms pursuant to the Contracts (Right of Third Parties) Act 1999 or otherwise.
